Cog have come a long way since the release of their 2005 debut album The New Normal. After the album debuted at #19 in the ARIA charts they spent the next three years playing major festivals in Australia. It wasn’t until 2008 that they sat down to write another album. Sharing Space extended on the original sound Cog created with The New Normal by including plenty more instruments and backing vocals. To date they have received two nominations from Triple J for album of the year and Sharing Space saw Cog reach international waters. In 2009 they released a limited edition of Sharing Space with a bonus disc featuring their performance at Triple J’s 2008 One Night Stand.
